Report

There was a good turnout of 8 people for this 6-mile walk. Part of the walk was in the Knepp Castle Estate, where deer and other animals roam free. Unfortunately one of the animals was a dog which tried (unsuccessfully) to bite through Andy D’s leg. After a couple of hours walking we returned to our starting point at the Crown Inn, for refreshment and an unexpected display of Morris Dancing outside the pub.

Report
An excellent walk by Andy and lovely weather. 8 and a dog started but only 7 arrived at the pub! Pete F had to get home early so took a quick route back.
There was a moment of faffing as the tracks in the wood could not be related to the map nor to the GPS displays but after a bit of bushwacking we found the Weald Way.
A stop was made at Pooh bridge for a game of Pooh sticks which was won by Bertie.
Then refreshment at the Anchor.
